We have researched quite a bit on the background history of Wurzbach Tower, particularly the last 15 years. Presidents and boards have come and gone; Presidents usually leave rather urgently.

2013 was a big year for Wurzbach Tower. The bylaws were changed, but suspiciously erroneously recorded against the rules of Bexar County.Equally suspiciously is where a copy of the bylaws for the years leading up to 2013 might be located.

We have discovered a few lawsuits and legal messes.

During Covid, and then the big freeze of 2021, it appears the then president of the association took it upon himself, or appointed himself, the supreme leader of the property. This era ushered in a period of toxicity, high employee turnover, friction between residents and management, and a low period of neighborliness. In person meetings were suspended, the building was locked down, even to realtors. Control and micro managing took over It was also during this period that elections became 'weird'. Meetings and elections were conducted purely by electronic means, and most certainly did not follow any recognizable order (as in Roberts Rules). This era ushered in a new group of board members whose election cannot seem to be tracked as legitimate. Indeed, the current President Demain, as detailed in the lawsuits, has never been elected in an in-person meeting. She was appointed to the board, and it seems like she has never been legitimately elected. It is all so mysterious, and concerning. It really should be cleared up, and we believe the lawsuits will clarify. This era also produced a bizarre narrative where the board became so alarmed they refused to identify their members names because of 'death threats' and open carry of guns in the building. We have seen research of the San Antonio Police Department records that do not show any calls to Wurzbach Tower for death threats. If they did in fact occur, there would most certainly be investigations on record. The death threat narrative did aid the then board to remain secret, at least for a while. This era saw the end of an open office and employees that regularly engaged with the residents (Emily). And to add to the drama of the era, an employee was accused of stealing about the same amount of money as was put aside for the fire sprinkler system along with an insurance claim and payout. Even thought the sprinkler system was ready to install with funding in place, somehow, magically, the required system was never (and still has not been) installed. Through a lot of deep investigating, it seems like the board then, as perhaps now, had no intention of installing the system despite it being required by City and State law. More on this later.
